Along Hoàn Kiếm Lake in Hanoi, Vietnam a tree-lined walkway leads to Đền Ngọc Sơn, Temple of the Jade Mountain. Several trees were showcasing these magnificent magenta bauhinia blooms when I visited in mid-winter. This painting is my slightly psychedelic interpretation of a low hanging-branch that caught my eye.
